smoggy7 Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 hi again sorry guys would this be water? split in the hose pipe, as the tray is soaking wet which looks like oil it is rather hard to say what it is at the moment or can it be water from somewhere else any ideas much apprecited thanks smoggy Quote
smoggy7 Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 hi guys, ive had this looked at and its the hose pipe on the inter cooler the clip aint the best so the bloke said so will have to check pipe for splits and recomend changing the clip for a new one, only trouble i got is when removing this pipe it loses all the antifreeze so when i have time i will do it all, but at least it iant the air con lol thanks smoggy7 Quote
littledaz Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Smoggy, if it is the intercooler pipe, you will not lose any antifreeze as it is an air pipe for the turbocharger. Turbocharged cars create an oil mist in the induction system and this is likely to be your leak. If the clip won't tighten, replace it and also inspect your pipes for splits, although if they are split you would probably hear it and have reduced power. Quote
smoggy7 Posted February 20, 2007 Author Report Posted February 20, 2007 hi , its the bottom hose and that is the hose that loses the water/antifreeze , i changed this pipe on my other galaxy and changed the whole anifreeze and water before i sold her its definately that pipe that when taken off it loses the coolant, thanks smoggy Quote
