Im glad you're pleased with it m8 .....yea the cruise control ...be careful if you use it to stick to the speed limits cos if you cruise down a steepish hill doing 30 it doesnt stay at 30 and you end up with 3 points like me mate. :D Oh and the wipers .... if you select them to continuous wipe, when you stop they go onto intermittent until you pull away ...dork here thought there was a problem.... :) Anything else you need to know give us a shout mate. OOPS ONLY PROBLEM IS YOU CANT SEE IT :( YET!!!!!! ;) bruv how the motaaaaa going?hope you like it bleeno no doubt i will ask questions m8 i own a galaxy  oh and heres a pic of her,soz for the quality but it was done on the camera phone well took it back to the dealers its booked in for end of next week to be done, then paid a visit to the local ford dealership to see if it had missed any recalls and ask if the wheels were covered by any warranty because there slightly corroded but no luck :( Quote
greg_68 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 bruv how the motaaaaa going?hope you like it Very pleased with it, I have had it about 9 months now and nothing has droped off, stopped working or failed. A time span never achieved with my previous car. I do miss it's versatility, comfort, ease of driving and extra seat. But with a young family I put reliabilty at the very top of my most wanted list. Looking at the endless stream of repetitive faults still appearing on here I don't ever see myself returning to the Galaxy which is a shame because I absolutely loved the new one I borrowed for 3 weeks last year. Good luck with yours, you never know you may get a goodun. Quote
tim-spam Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 (edited) Yes, but your previous car was the most complex version of a car in its first year of production, and was 10 years old, and you are comparing it with a more basic car which is barely 2 years old - for heaven's sake, it should be more reliable (even if it is a Citroen). If reliability is at the very top of your priority list, why on earth did you buy a Citroen? Japanese would have been a hugely more rational choice. By the way, if you had bought my diesel Alhambra, you would have been well pleased - it has now covered 85000 miles and has proven to be extremely reliable and vitually trouble free. Agree with everything you say Tim. I know you are a huge fan of your car and always defend it's reliabilty. Yes it was older (although only 4 years old when I bought it and things went wrong from the start) Yes I would buy japanes given the choice but finances dictated not to be. But I still read countless posts withexactly the same issues as I had on Galaxys no more than 3-4 years old, telling me that the issues are still the same. On the Citreon site there is a completely different set of posts with no underlying major faults. I am glad you have goood luck with your car, there are good and bad in all vehicles it just seems to me the good Galaxy ones are rarer and a damn site more expensive to fix. Look how many posts are titled 'another fault on my Galaxy' Edited February 24, 2007 by greg_68 Quote

Bleeno, this thing about the wipers going intermittent when you stop is it on all mk2s or just on the later models?as mine doesn't seem to do this  Quote
