Temperature Gauge Red Light

N Reg 2.0 Aspen

 

On our galaxy the red temprature light flashes intermitently, usually when the engine has been started from cold. it then stops once the engine has warmed up. Is this normal and if not what fault could be causing it.

no, thats not normal! the light should come on and then go off when you switch on the ignition, it should only flash or stay on perminantly if there is a problem!
