Where Is The Brake Fluid Reservoir

[My Other Car Is A Galaxy]

Okay I am a numpty. Can anybody please tell me where the brake fluid reservoir is on my 52 Plate 1.9TDi Ghia. I haven't a clue and I've looked everywhere, including in the cupboard under the kitchen sink... Joking apart, I have looked through the forum and can't seem to find the answer anywhere, as most answers seem to relate to the Mark I.

Brake fluid reservoir IIRC iis at the back of the engine bay on the left in the corner....damn hard to see..to access it means removing a couple of things.

 

Or am i thinking of something else??Hmmm......handbook time..

aha!!..i was right according to my trusty manual where it is shown as a nice pretty rectangle!

Whitty, many thanks. Me and you have the same car by the way. Now one last silly question, is it on the left looking from the front, or is it on the left when sitting in the car. Plus, mumof4 mentioned removing something, is that the case? Do I have to remove anything? :wacko:

on the left looking from the front - probably the airbox needs removing

 

 

if its anything like a vr6

Oi..i got it right first!!!!.....

 

left looking at the car from the front..

 

will need to remove air filter box...unless you are very dextrous and have skinny arms...also remove the tdi cover....makes it a bit easier..

 

Im not totally daft you know...I have taken out and refitted air filter box and replaced my maf....and done my wiper linkage..i may not know the names of everything ..and i am here!!..no need to talk over me!! :wacko: :(
