Guest Rockdoctor Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 Just did my first proper run in the Galaxy since I bought it - down the M4 to Wales. It was sheeting down most of the way, and I wasn't hugely surprised (after reading this site for a while) to findsome water had dripped onto the carpet in the front passenger footwell.I guess fast driving forces water through some hole or other and into the interior.Does anyone have a magical easy cure for this?Ignoring it also seems a viable option - there wasn't much water and I had done 200 miles at maximum velocity. More annoyingly, a buzzing rattly sound started up, appearing to come from the windscreen area on the passenger side. I didn't have a passenger with me, so it wasn't easy to work out what was causing it.Anyone else have this one? Overall though, I was quite relieved that nothing worse showed up.After buying from Car Giant in north London I had no real idea whether I bought a pig in a poke.Seems that the leasing company that owned it previously may have actaully looked after it adequately. mumof4 Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 as for the rattle..i have one on the passenger side..called wiper rattling against the screen in mine ... as for yours..could be anything..does it happen all the time or only after youve put yer foot down and the rest of the world becomes a blur? Check for anything loose is all i can suggest right now till im awake properly. Quote
