GalaxyGhiaTD0555 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 I've just bought a 1 year old Galaxy and it has an annoying rattle from the front passenger seat. The back of the seat seems slightly loose, you can push it backwards and forwards a bit, and the rattle comes from where the back of the seat joins onto the bottom part. I didn't notice it on the test drive because there was always someone sitting in the seat, but noticed it as soon as I drove it on my own. I took it back to the dealer but the technician said he couldn't find anything wrong with it, nothing was faulty or broken. He then said that he checked other 55 reg Galaxy's and some of them had the same problem. I'm amazed at this. I had my previous Galaxy for 10 years and it didn't have any rattles like this till it was about 9 years old. I can't believe it's standard for the seat to rattle like this on 1 year old cars. So, does the front passenger seat on your Galaxy rattle? Chris. Quote
mumof4 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 front drivers seat does on mine at the mo..turn a corner and the seat moves a bit...thinking something is loose somewhere,.,. Quote
AndeeeH Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 I know you shouldn't have to with such a new car but try reclining the seat right back then trap a rolled-up tea towel between the back and seat cushions as you wind the seat up again. You might have to experiment with different thicknesses of roll until you eliminate the movement. :16: Andy. Quote
Guest MATT jr Posted February 13, 2007 Report Posted February 13, 2007 the seats do seem to "clink" "rattle" when going round bends quick...for start with i would just check the 4 bolts that hold the seat in. MJR Quote
