mmmmmm .... my bottom sounds a bit lumpy at the moment .... no seriousl Daz ..... sounds like you got some water ingress somewhere and hasnt had a chance to dry out properly. Id definately start around the electrics / ignition near to where the leak was mate. There again, when the garage leak tested it did it leak and spray everywhere under pressure? Sounds to me you need to take it back and get them to sort it. Best of luck m8

A worst case scenario is that the engine overheated when the hose went and the head gasket has gone. Hence the lumpy running, white smoke and petrol smell. Is the car using water again?

Before we panic, though, it's worth checking out the electrics, like Bleeno said. Everthing must be nice and dry!

(That's the problem with diagnosis by internet...)

like has been said before i would be inclined to take it back to the garage and ask them to look at it FOC. failing that check that all of the leads and hoses were reconnected properly.

could be coilpack as that would have received a good soaking when hose blew. i had similar symptoms when my coilpack failed. the unburnt fuel was going into the CAT.

you need to check the basics first. you can test the coilpack on the car. if it has failed? gsf parts is the place to go
