Guest martinkerr Posted December 7, 2003 Report Posted December 7, 2003 While shoping at woolworths i was surprised to see amongst the toy section a few boxes of parking sensors, they cost Quote
smon Posted December 8, 2003 Report Posted December 8, 2003 Sounds like a good deal Martin. A few questions:Do they mount in the same holes as the factory fit version or do you have to drill new ones? How many sensors are there? Is the functionality the same as the Ford unit (I havent seen the real thing, so dont know what to expect)? And finally, what make are they, so that I can ask for them in Woolies, if I cant find them on the shelf? Heres hoping, Simon Quote
Guest martinkerr Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 they are made by parking mate for wooliesno need to drill holes they come with sticky pads or you can use screwsI used sticky pads and fitted them just under the rear lights, i removed the lights and ran the wires behind them so you cant see the wires took about 30 min to fit, and they work like a dream i will post pic when its daylight Martin Quote
smon Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Thanks Martin, I tried in our local Woolies but no luck either in the toy section or with the other car bits. I have found this one from Argos for Quote

gregers Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 open question to everyone wot r the pitfuls in owning a galaxy wot sort of problems occur and why do i seem to b spending all my time putting petrol in ive owned mine for four months now muchcly thanx and merry crimbo  Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Problems, what problems - just things that go wrong, like airconditioning(!) and dodgy electrics often caused by water leaks.Remember that the Galaxy is a "premium" vehicle at the top of Ford's range and is therefore not the cheapest car to run. Make sure that routine servicing is carried out correctly. Petrol-engined versions do like a drink of fuel.Merry Christmas to you too! Quote

Oh, and the internal condensation - make sure you use the air-con all the time. Finally, seach any children for hidden sweets or crayons etc, and make sure they have the same amount when exiting the car Quote
