Thicko Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 After a series of fiascos with our caravan I fitted a powrtouch heavy duty single axle model 3 caravan mover to our caravan. I now want to fit a good quality wheel clamp. The Powrtouch website says that only a Milenco rise and clamp, SAS supaclamp or Pyramid Chock will fit. I bought a rise and clamp but it appeared to have no security features at all and couldn't lift the caravan so it went back. I've got 13 inch steel wheels with a plastic trim so an SAS supaclamp would mean removing the trim as it fits to the wheel nuts. Nobody seems to stock the Pyramid chock. Does anybody have a caravan mover with a wheel clamp that fits as there seems to be a lot of confusion on the subject. I would like one from the Bulldog range preferably a gold sold secure one. Thanks. Quote
Guest MATT jr Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 mmm, im not familiar with your exact motor mover - but we have a truma motor mover, and have no problems in fitting this clamp, clicky MJR Quote
Smilge Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Pretty certain the Bulldog will fit yours as the arms that wrap around the rear of the wheel at 12, 7 and 5 oclock positions can be individually mounted and then secured using the main central nut on the front. I cant see how they will snag the mover motor as the arms themselves are only about 8mm wide. Bloody heavy though and can bite your fingers if you're not careful .... hope that helps. Chris Quote
Guest MATT jr Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 btw - we bought our clamp 2nd hand for Quote
Thicko Posted March 17, 2007 Author Report Posted March 17, 2007 I ended up buying a full stop Centurian which looked like the Bulldog but was a bit cheaper Quote
adrianf. Posted March 17, 2007 Report Posted March 17, 2007 I also use the Bulldog QD33 myself and find it very good.Easy to put on even tho its a twin axle and feels very secure once fitted.Puy a small drop of oil on where the two halfs slide into each other by the lock, found it makes it a lot smoother. mikes Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 The AL-KO Secure Wheel Lock is very good and does not interfer with movers but you have to line it up with a spoke and are caravan make specific Quote
