Biscuit Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Hi Dipsomaniacif fords fitted the parts id take it straight back!they might not have reconnected the pipes correctly.how long have you owned the car?when was the job done?is it still under warranty?Biscuit Quote
raymac Posted February 5, 2007 Report Posted February 5, 2007 Sounds like you have found the problem with copper o ring missing, take it back and get them muppets to do it and while your there try and get a tank full of diesel of them for fuel lost and the inconvenience  ;) Quote
dipsomaniac Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 thanks for the replies. have owned the car for around 2 years. enquired about service history at local ford just after buying and found that previous owner had spent Quote
Biscuit Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 you should be able to replace the copper 'o' ring with out to much of a problem Quote
Richard gal Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 (edited) It is the problem and will cost a few pence for a copper washer, its not presurised when not running and only a little when it is, its only the leak off back to the tank so no worries about air getting in. (the car will run ok without the pipe, just sprays fuel everywhere!!!) Just undo the bolt slip the washer in and tighten, NOT TOO MUCH as its a hollow bolt. dipsomaniac Posted February 7, 2007 Author Report Posted February 7, 2007 thanks for the help. i didn't realise it was a return, i thought it was the main fuel feel. will fit an o ring this weekend. Quote
