Hi

I wish to fit some upgraded speakers in to my Galaxy but i am unsure of the size of speakers to fit. I called my local Ford garage and asked them if they knew the sizes of the speakers and they couldn't help me. I don't want to cut away any of the car and i know you can buy adapter kits to fit in speakers to the Ford fitments.

I have searched for this information here and have'nt had any luck!

If any one could help that would be great!

I shall become daddy cool from tomorrow at 4pm when i pick up my Galaxy!!! B)

(can't wait!)

Interesting to note you want to upgrade the speakers before you've got the car!

Any particular reason?

The Blaupunkt speakers in the car are quite passable.

I took the stereo out of my Mitsubishi Spacewagon, where I was never happy with the volume acheiveable, and put it into my Sharan - now I know what it should sound like. The speakers are very ggod, unlike the grills

Got the car today. LOVE IT!

My daughter wants to sleep in there.

I want to upgrade the speakers as the factory fitted ones in older cars are'nt really to good. The speakers fitted to the newer vehicles are good. My transit van has some excellent speakers. Yes a transit van! The speakers in there are ok but i would like better sound. B)

Hi,

Additional question: What is the max. mounting depth door speaker elements can have without modifications to the door panels?

Did anybody tried building subwoofer enclosure(s) in the space below driver/passenger seats?

Jukka: you cannot be serious  ...mobile ghetto blaster morons usually drive small hatches that are worth less than the sound systems within. A galaxy would surely nack your street cred

its not all about about volume its about getting the highest acheivable sound quality in a tin box that is not suited to accoustics. I have the 10 speaker system in my galaxy as standard and do not find it that great even though lots of people seem to think they are great. the head unit, amp and component tweeters are quite good however the cone in the door are sh*t and give no depth of bass. In this vehicle you realy need drivers in each door with the highest possible rms rating and the lowest acheivable HZs value to give yo both decent mid range and bass. note done it yet as my kidds require new shoes this month, and my wife wouldn't be happy if the kidds were wearing shoes too small.

cheers

Chris
