Fuel Consumption

is it normal for a 1.9 tdi 115 bhp 02 plate to drop 20 miles of normal fuel consumption to a tenner. i put

shorted trips use more fuel as does the cold weather ...cant remember what it does but i do know that in the cold you use more fuel.and as the temp has dropped in the past week or so that may contribute to it.

So you had the booster heater fixed, the weather is cold and it's using more fuel? Shows the booster heater is working then eh?

 

Short trips from cold will also use more fuel. Sounds to me like there's nothing wrong.

I would also check a tyre hasn't gone flat ( flattish )

in 2005 had 4 new tyres fitted,was saying my mpg was really bad

someone said check tyres for ar presure .and it was only 30bar allround

 

which made ir about 10 bar out on each wheel

 

made quite a differnece to my mpg amounts also

Yes - the tyres exploded - hence the poor fuel consumption, dodgy cornering and horrendous road noise.

I need my glow plug on booster heater changing, how much was it and was it at a main dealer ?

 

iv just changed our glow plug....the Fraudsters wanted a disgusting

my gauge reads bar not psi ,,thats why my car floats,might be psi ,,you dont mean gsi cos thats a vauxhall wheel :lol:

 

my galaxy is not dodgy,its a kool car,shame its not a ford :lol:

 

anyways nik what mpg u getting in yours

 

mines doing around 70-75 to a tenner dos that sound about right to you :lol:
