Guest b_sharp Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 when purchased car - had a 'plumbed-in' phone routed through the radio which the missus has found really useful (use phone - radio auto switch-off etc). car in for new clutch for week - battery disconnected. re-started radio-cassette with code, but phone and radio unit no longer work together. speaker 'clicks' as it alternates between phone and radio. two seconds on radio, while phone switches off - then 2 seconds on phone while radio switches off !! really annoying, useless, and i haven't got a clue what's going on - IDEAS ANYONE ?? Guest b_sharp Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 i think the unit is a 2007 ? and i haven't been back to the garage yet - they took nearly a week to change my clutch, slave and flywheel - i'm not sure they'll have a clue ? Quote
Guest Cepheus Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 do you know what kind of phone kit it is? What kind of phone fits in it? Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 sounds like they might have done more than just the clutch as said above phone kit info etc... ie nokia ,was it a hard wired phone kit, iirc is the 2007 the older unit, anything like this one below Quote
Guest b_sharp Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 gooner - it is hard-wired - looks exactly like the kit in the picture ! Quote
Guest Cepheus Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 yeah 2007 is the unit in the MK1. I have the cark-91 kit in mine (as in your pic gooner) so might be able to help out with where wires go etc if its a similar kit installed. have you had a fiddle around with all the wires? Should be one wire comes out of the cradle going into the main control unit and then coming from the control unit, wire going to the external ariel, wire going to stereo mute connection, one to mic and one to speaker. Check that all of these are connected ok first, they could have dislodged one of them somehow? Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 right so its a clark-91 kool as paul said he is your best bet cos he has one fitted to his galaxy at the mo also had one fitted to mine while back so have some spare parts ,if something is brokern let me know  Quote
