Seems if I turn the music up I get this corresponding thump from the door speakers. Have tried to make sure that theres no junk in the door trays etc, have adjusted the Bass but its still there..... Cheers No, but I changed mine a few weeks ago because of the quality of sound. You might find that they're actually loose which means you will have to removemove the inside door panels or door cards and see if the mounting screws are loose. Or, you might find the speaker cones have separated from the metal frame of the speaker itself. Pretty unlikely that all the speakers have this problem so you need to find out which ones are vibrating at all volume levels, and if all of them are, then basically you've have another problem. To be honest, if you have the money change the 4 door speakers for better ones, you'll be surprised at the difference! Hope this helps Quote
katman Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I changed mine a few weeks ago because of the quality of sound. How long does it take to replace all 4 speakers? I have the speakers but havent had a chance to fit them yet :) Quote

Good luck Quote
Dave-G Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 You DO realise that Galaxy owners are prohibited from cruisin with loud music emanating from open windows and wot not huh? :) Quote
Guest Cepheus Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Either OPs speakers are goosed or he's listening to some mashed-up hardcore drum&bass thats too much to handle for his papier mache OE speakers. :) As Bleeno said, changing them is the best thing to do, the difference is amazing. If you have a MK1 then my post on the subject is HERE to help. A good thread HERE on removal of door cards on the MK2 also Quote

Guest wolfie Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 Thanks for the reminder! just remembered mine is still stashed under the bed awaiting fitting! as for fitting? depends some units can accept an input signal via the OE head units speaker output cables! or just by a set of pre amp outputs, the one I have does both! when or if I ever get around to fitting it? I have the choice of inputs  depending on which method is easiest? http://www.continentalimports.com/images/cms_265.jpg Quote

Guest MATT jr Posted January 24, 2007 Report Posted January 24, 2007 i thought the ready made efforts were very expensive for what you get... ...iv got a JBL GT075.2 amp - think its 290 watts RMS bridged (bought for Quote

In your case I would use the pre-amp output but I have the oem sat nav head unit and dont know whether mine has one.... perhaps you can advise me please? Quote
