Guest stevegeorge Posted November 30, 2003 Report Posted November 30, 2003 the air con on my ST24 will cut in for 2 secs every 10 secs causing a corresponding rise and fall in the engine revs. It seems to blow cold air (although i have known better on other cars) and it certainly de humidifies ok. Can someone tell me if this is normal? Quote
Guest Swing-Your-Pants Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 It's perfectly normal for an AC compressor to cut in & out (Modulate). Every 2 seconds out of 10 seems a little unusual but as you say it appears to cool and de-humidify Ok so I wouldn't worry. Quote
Guest stevegeorge Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 thanks for your reply, as it happens the next day the air con would not work at all. I am wondering if the fluid level is low Quote
william Posted December 1, 2003 Report Posted December 1, 2003 Rapid cycling is not normal. The compressor should run for about 20 seconds before cutting out and this is only after it has been running for a while. It sounds like low gas and now no gas! Quote

Can someone tell me if this is normal? It's normal, unfortunately the air con compressor will draw out the engine power when is kicking in, same as my one. Lately, I found a product is really can minimize the power lost by almost 90% check it out here: http://www.buddyclub.org Quote
