Black Number Plate With Silver Lettering

I saw a porsche over the weekend with these number plates on both front and back and wondered whether they were legal as I think they might look good on my Sea Grey Galaxy. Any body got any ideas :lol:

Was it a old Porsche ?

 

As I remember you can put these on a car that is of a certain age, not sure how old though !

 

Poss search on the DVLA site might produce a answer

No it was a new shape with 06 reg, but I will check with DVLA

I THINK youll find the cut off point for using these plates is about 1973 ish.

Yes they do look good on some cars but are deffo not legal on modern vehicles

"Cars registered before 1 January 1973 can use silver on black or white on black number plates. Cars registered after this date must use black on white plates at the front and black on yellow plates at the rear"
