Just a line to say hello and what an interesting site it is..

 

Anyone found a brochure for the 'freshened' (Ford lingo, must come somewhere between doing nothing and facelift..) Galaxy..?.. lots of promises but no pictures (apart from the one on this site)

 

So for those thinking of ordering a new (2004.25) Galaxy... Product News liberated from a Ford Dealer...

2nd remote key - and about time.

 

Reads like Ford have a job lot of Chrome and need to stick it somewhere.

 

I presume this is all just filler until the all new Galaxy is released.

Sharan and Alhambra have similar updates for 2004 models.

 

Including "drive home headlights" whatever they are.

 

Not as much chrome available though....!

 

Sharan Sport and Alhambra SE specs still exceed Gal Ghia. Sharan pricing still in orbit.

No idea on totally 'new' Galaxy, just that I have to choose a company car and this site had pointed out that there was a facelift coming, but of course the dealers seem to be a bit reluctant to tell you about it (not that any garage seem to be holding on to vast stocks of 2003 Galaxys) - finally prised a copy of their product news off one of the dealers..

 

The chrome seems to be the flavour of the month, give it a couple of years and everything will be matt black again and white will be popular..

 

Drive home headlights - Is this where the headlights stay on for 30 seconds or so after you have locked your car so you can find your way to the front door in the dark..? I would have thought the use was fairly limited unless your headlights were pointing at said door...! (then of course you may want to stay by the car to ensure the headlights do switch off!!) ..
