Higs Posted January 4, 2007 Author Report Posted January 4, 2007 S'pose I understand the need to have a 'trainee' period but would it be an idea to let trainee members post in the 'Member Introductions' section too? - seems a bit daft that I can only introduce myself after I've made 30 other posts ;) Quote
NikpV Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 by then we'll know whether we want to talk to you then ;) ;) :11: ;) ;) btw I quite agree with you :) :) :) Quote
mumof4 Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 Its an idea.......all depends on what glen sets....it is a lot of work saying who can post where......But this was all done for the security of the forum as we are always bombarded by spam ..you lot just dont see it as they never reach the forum because of the new security measures..we get about on average 5 spam email addys a day trying to register..and its all sorted manually. These precautions were put in place just in case a spam bot got thru..if they did..then at least they cant post all over the forum.introduce yourself in trainee.....its all i can suggest for now. Mind..i could let the Viagra bot thru if there is the demand for it on here. ;) ;) Quote
Gteuk Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 As if by magic trainees can post in new member intros Quote

NikpV Posted January 4, 2007 Report Posted January 4, 2007 wonder if it is possible for "trainee"'s to be alllowed to edit their signatures so that they can put their car details there - allowing them to post in the new members section was a great idea Quote
mumof4 Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 car details are in your portal profile...and the edit button wont be back for a while... Quote

I would never have attempted to fix it myselfif it was'nt for the people in this forum.I would very much like to thanks those who posted their advices, and post my basic personal experiences.but I could,nt as I am not allow to post a reply in that secton, pity.Of course I will wait for my full membership, would I be given fullmembership automatically when I fullfilled your requirement?in the mean time many thanks to those who had help me,most grateful!Three cheers for a great forum!
