Site Problems

After upgradeding the MySQL database system to version 5 there has been speradic problems on all the forums, due to this I will be downgrading to an earlier version this may lead to some down time and initial errors, so please be patient, to of the other forums are not working at all :blink: so at least you guys have something to do ;)

First downgrade finished pretty painless lets see if I can get the other sites working now :blink:

Is the lack of an 'edit' button on our posts a symptom of these problems or have we been downgraded and lost this ability ? Can't say I've seen much in the way of evidence of abuse using the edit facility but then I'm not around here much !!

There is what I call seasonal abuse of it, one or two ppl get annoyed and delete all manor of their posts or edit them which makes a tpic look complete goble de gook

Looks like an IE7 problem check Page>Zoom ensure it is at 100%,

 

The CSS on this new version is very flakey but until an update comes out I only have 2 choice, downgrade and loose posts, not backward compatable or leave as is and patch it as soon as I can

hardly an endemic problem though and not usually seen on the serious posts - Usually edit the useful klinks post and lack of the facility would make it awkward
