Drivers Door Handle

can anyone help

whilst opening the drivers door today using exterior handle there seemed little resistance

and now i cant open the drivers door via the exterior handle

the inerior handle opens the door ok

the car still locks centrally via the drivers side lock using the key in the drivers side lock

will i have to remove the door card to check what has happened or is it more likely that the problem is with the door handle mechanism

please advise

if its working from the inside,and not the outside

 

i would say remove the door card ,to see what the fault is.sounds like something has come away :rolleyes:

 

plus put your car details on your signature

sounds like the clip holding the arm on the exterior handle has come adrift

i have recoonected the metal bar into the horseshoe chapeclip on back of handle but door will still not open from outside

can anyone help
