Guest Eatontoomanygalaxys Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 I have been told that a MTX75 box from a mondeo etc will fit in the galaxy if the bell housing is swapped. Does anybody know this for sure? Quote
Andrew T Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Well, I don't recall anyone saying they've done it and a recent thread said it wasn't the MTX box at all but a VTX. However I was looking at a article in Car magazine form the launch of the Galaxy and it twice refers to the MTX box in Ford engined variants. There again, magazines sometimes make mistakes. Quote
tiny Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 According to TIS- VXT-75 5 speed manual transmission (Ford) Have a look at this extract explaining the differences. Quote
Guest Eatontoomanygalaxys Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Thanks Tiny I will give the mondeo box a miss. Quote
Andrew T Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Ah that explains it then...... Might be worth pinning this in FAQs as it comes up fairly regularly. NIK? Quote
