When driving battery light will flash, no particular pattern or condition required same symptom at idle and sixty mph.

New battery, new alternator, alternator belt tension checked, wiring harness checked to alternator no visible problems, where do I go from here.

Had a similar problem on my Maverick that turned out to be a slightly bent pin on the alternator where the three pin plug is attached. Could have happened when your new alternator was fitted. ;) Andy.

Appreciate the suggestion, double checked this just to be sure and all ok, still looking ;)

Normally indicates that the battery is not accepting any charge normally due to damaged plates. The other common fault if for the brushes to be worn.

was the alternator a brand new unit or a refurb one ;)

as we all know sometimes new units or refurb ones can still be faulty

Tried two alternators + one new, same result problem remains, same as before, Battery power now diminished to a level where the car will not turnover.
