Guest Cepheus Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 this makes me think, how many galaxy owners with points on there license.. 0 on mine at the moment. Used to have 10 a few years back for a DR40 (In charge of a vehicle with excess alcohol). Was on a night out, running late, driven over to Liverpool, left a tenner in the car to get a taxi home (always did this as I always ran out of money otherwise!) Boys in blue saw me enter the car, get the money out of the glovebox, lock the car up and walk towards the taxi rank, but still decided to pull me. W4nkers. According to my solicitor this is the only crime where you are guilty until proven innocent. It is up to you and your defence to prove without reasonable doubt that you had no intention of driving the vehicle while above the blood alcohol limit. If, in the eyes of the court you can't do this, then you are automatically guilty and prosecuted as charged! Even with the arresting officers testifying that they saw me lock the car up and head towards the taxi rank, this wasn't good enough! A word of warning to all! Quote
Guest gooner52 Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 thats a right pee take paul thanks for the warning, glad i dont drink  Quote
jkspoff Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 3 points on mine, for doing 93mph on motorway. Fair cop I suppose, but officers discretion should be a bit more tolerable, and judged on the merits and experience of drivers more. I could have taken it to court, but not worth the hassle, as I was breaking the speed limit. wasn't a mate then :23: Unfortunately not ! :) Quote
