bigted Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 i have a x reg mondeo the car was o k untill i changed the lower suspension arms.i changed the passengerside first i had to cut the bolt off and put a new one in i never touched the sub frame the car drove o k. so i did the drivers side.when i drove the car it was pulling to the left and the steering wheel was off centre to the left. sow i took to a garage to get the tracking checked.he tod me it was ok and did not need doing eventhough the steering wheel was way outto the left. so i took it to another garage who done 4 wheel tracking and he told me it was out so he adjusted it.the steering as gone out to the right but it is still pulling to the leftso i took it back to him and he messed about with it but it is still the same i have checked the tyres i need some help please .thanks bigted Quote

NikpV Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 Wasn't this a major problem with early? mondeos - I remember a watchdog (sad) program with it on Quote
littlenewt2067 Posted December 4, 2006 Report Posted December 4, 2006 I think you are right but I seem to recall they later found out all the affected cars had had some work done on them involving the subframe being removed/replaced....like clutch replacement.... Doesnt sound like this though?..I had this once on a car and the tyre had a slight bulge in it and this was enough to pull the car across the road!! :( Quote
