If not, do so and then go for a drive and see how many of them just "disappear". Also, get Vag-com 409.1. Its free to download and try out, but 99 dollars (50 quid-ish) to register for the full functionality. John Quote
dipsomaniac Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 agree with john. keep a copy of the codes, clear them and go for a long drive (unless you have a bad misfire) before re-scanning. you haven't mentioned if the car is showing any other signs of problems? Quote

JohnR Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 If you go to the "useful links" section at the top of the technical section, then to the Rosstech Wiki you get:- 18074/P1666 - Valve for Pump - Jet: Cylinder 1 (N240): Electrical Malfunction [edit]Possible Symptoms Irregular rpm [edit]Possible Causes Wiring and/or connections to/from the Valve for Pump Jet Valve for Pump Jet [edit]Possible Solutions Check wiring and Check / Clean all connections Replace the cable-tree to/from all the Valves for Pump Jet Replace Valve for Pump Jet (replace them all !) [edit]Special Notes For each Valve the ECU checks the Begin of Injection Period (BIP) via a voltage. That voltage is very small (less than 0.0001A). Each extra resistance in the cable is fatal. So, in case of any doubt, just replace all cables. Retrieved from "http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/18074/P1666" You can check the others there too. John Quote
