LOZ Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 Had a MOT recently and advised me that the rear washer wasn't working. So I went home and stuck a few pins down the hole and gave them a little wiggle! Just filled the washer bottle up, just incase it goes on water levels, tried again still no water! I can hear the motor/pump humming. I read in the last pages someone had their pipe disconnected. I couldn't see whether the water on the floor was coming from the spray off the front washer as I kept pressing the wrong way. Can anyone advise what it might be and can it be fixed or is it a Ford job and what am I looking for under the car? Quote
Dave-G Posted November 16, 2003 Report Posted November 16, 2003 see WATERLEAK MATE, and dont pump any more water into your footwell Quote
Guest T120 Posted November 17, 2003 Report Posted November 17, 2003 Take bottom trim off on the near side which holds the carpet in. Pull carpet up & to the right. Now if you look up under the dash above the nearside footwell the offending pipe will be revealed out of the rubber connection. The tricky bit is getting it back in but once done put 2 tyraps around the connections and you can forget about it. I put newspapers under the carpet to get it dry. Good luck. Quote
LOZ Posted November 18, 2003 Author Report Posted November 18, 2003 Thanks I'll have a look! Or get my mate to look! However, my carpet isn't wet ? Should it be? At least I don't think its wet? The water I was refering to is on the floor of my drive? I'd better have a closer look at the carpet, not see it since I put in my new mats! Quote
Guest T120 Posted November 18, 2003 Report Posted November 18, 2003 It could be that the rear wash pipe is broken/damaged in the engine bay before it enters the inside of the car. :) Again good luck Quote
