HELP...

Last night whilst driving in the rain my water temperature light started flashing, I assume thats what it is? It's a little red light above the temperature indicator.

any way it's never flashed before so why now. The car never over heated and after 6 miles the indicator just came out of the bottom section. I checked the water level which is on MAX.

Can any one help?

Thanks

Strangely mine started flashing last night too, but I had just had the instrument cluster out to replace a bulb. Reseating the connecting wires made it stop. Strange!

I take it we are dealing with a mkI then!!, mine flashes twice together with the oil pressure light when i turn on the ignition when cold, i'm can't help thinking that the small red light flashing means that the ECU is trying to tell me of a problem or something!!!!, just a thought!!! :)

best regards

Hi had same problem with mine but just before i had refilled the reservoir after flushing the system.I manually pump the system by squeezing one the water pipes to flush out any air and push the water thru the system, then topped up the reservoir again. This worked for me.

Hope this helps
