Just A Couple Of Minor Issues

hi all,

the air con switch light bulb to indicate that the air con is on has blown on my mk1, and i need to change it how do i get the switch off i have give it a little tug with no joy, does it just pull off with a bit more of a tug ?

or is there another way ? i dont want to break it cheers,

 

also my temp gauge has packed up no reading at all just flicks up a little on start up and stays there useless, i had a play around with the plug and wires near the thernostat housing and the gauge worked correctly for about half a day, so i presume it must be a dodgy wire to the temp sender unit, which plug is this please, is it the 4 pronged plug on the water pipe near the thermostat, or the smaller plug which is directly under the thermostat housing ?

played around with both plugs, so i am not sure which one made it work briefly :(
