Dalbir Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006  My cars NSR electric window has just packed in. It doesn't work from the drivers side switch nor the switch on the actual door and nor does it wind up and down via the key (when the rest do). Thankfully its packed up in a closed position. Its a Mk2 2001 Sharan 1.9TDi.It has been working fine till now, I've never had the door card off or anything. The wiring in the door pillar seems to be in good nick. The front footwells are bone dryIf its the switch can just try swapping the switch from the other rear door. Tried to find out if it has separate fuse for that window, but the fusecard and the owners manual is as clear as mud. Any help most welcome. Quote
TimsBamma Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Almost certainly door to pillar cabling miy is broken at the mo(well the brown wire is) If your's are obviously broken its still very likely that the wire under the insulation is bust. I'm sure other will be along shortly, in the FAQ's are details on resoldering the cabling etc  Quote
