Can anyone educate me regarding the remote control key fob!

The red light upon the fob illuminates but it appears my battery as not enough power to arm and disarm the alarm and locking!

Is it a case of fitting a new battery or is it a trip to Ford for a new battery and reprogramming?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance
