Hi everyone, Dave from Glasgow here. I have a 2001 Galaxy Ghia TDi that I've owned from new, but only just found this site today! I found it by snorfling around Google for a solution to a problem, and looks like the forum lists it, so I'm chuffed.

Looks like a great site, so I'll familiarise myself with it and see what everyone else is doing to their Galaxies!!

I really look forward to reading as many posts as possible.

Hope you enjoy the site, the humour, the knowledge and the personalities that come with it

welcome to the house of the galaxy insane... :)

Jackets on your left...muzzles on the top shelf in that cupboard..(watch out for some of the inmates..they like to jump out and scare you in there).

The er..ahem.."sweeties" are in the cupboard on the right. :D

Couple of things to rememer....you must leave all sharp objects at the desk before entering.....being broke is a requirement in here...if you have money..then start running ;)

If you plan on robbing a bank..let the rest of us know so we can all join in and pick a car that wont break down..mines pretty good.....runs well.... :D

Anyway..welcome....glad to have you aboard with us..boarding pass please... :) :P :)

Thanks everyone. I'm not a forum newbie as such, just here I'm glad to say! The Galaxy is more my wife's car, although I love it. Generally it's been a dream to own, no niggles, no grief and minimal servicing.

Just lately I have an air con problem but seem to have found the most obvious resolution on the forums, hopefully!

Yeah, there is that mentality! I drive a 5 series BM, but love the Galaxy. Great for loading all the kids and heading off on an adventure, and still getting >30 mpg!!! We've had the car since new, done 42k miles just, and whilst the vain bit of me wants to trade it on for the new one, the fact is it's still in great shape, drives well and does exactly what we want from it. I'm a real fan.

I meant with loving attention. ....gently caressed whilst being washed ....with special attention to the bumpers and the head lamps.....and plenty of encouragement to go faster when being driven. :D :D :D
