i have been having some troubles with the climate control panel flashing, (covered in another topic) anyways frauds "fixed it" but i am still unhappy with the level of A/C i measured the temp at the centre outlet at 8deg c with an outside air temp of 11C, this is outsid ethe chart that has been publish on the site before. anyway i am going to get a guy (A/C specialist) to re-gass (if he thinks it needs it) but i am worried that re-gassing / servicing would set the CC panel flashing again? will it?

cheers

To be quite honest, I'd be thankful its working at all! So many of us on this group are living with knackered compressors at the mo! However, if you go to Halfords you can get a top up kit yourself, (or just a gauge) which will measure the pressure and tell you if its fully charged or not.

Now i might be wrong here but doesn't climate control work along the lines ofworking on the outside temp and also the sun sensor on the dash, now if that's how it works then on drab dull day the sensor is not going to have any affect plus with the outside temp being low climate control will not cool the air as cold as on a hot sunny day, as it happens i had mine set on low and it blew cold but not as cold as it did when i was in france in the summer when it was really hot and sunny, i am happy with mine and the panel flashes and i had a new condenser fitted in may

with the test procedure you put it on 'lo' which makes the aircon remove as much heat from the air as possible ie gives you the biggest temp difference between cooled and non cooled air irrespective of any other considerations so no other sensors (well maybe the ice sensor) should come into play
