Guest gooner52 Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Postal Scam it has been confirmed by Royal Mail. The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam: A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize. If you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will already have been billed Quote

NikpV Posted November 8, 2006 Report Posted November 8, 2006 Thanx for the Heads-up, as I said we had a similar warning about 3 months ago - purely locally in mid-Beds what really annoys me is that this is just simply fraud surely on the first reporting the police should be able to act and trace the recipients of the money - if the registration of the phone number doesn't make it easy then surely a change in the procedures for setting up such numbers would not be difficult to achieve Quote
