bit of a problem

have set up the drivers, port settings seem ok

run the program, connect lead via usb

turn on ignition

and works fine,

untill i want to check out something else

ie,abs or engine

i get a error saying check connections etc in opions..

but if i unplug the usb then plug in back in and wait for 2 little tones,it works.

then i have to do it all over again, unplug usb lead and then plug it in again

anyone goes any ideas

thanks guys

Make sure you knobble all background tasks, esp anti-virus etc. Had similar probs and this fixed it.

Have you got a powered hub for the usb - may be spike/signal issues which could be masked if you used a hub - I konw you'd need an extension lead unless you have it in a garage with power :( but maybe worth a try :(
