Guest Dougwzz99 Posted November 6, 2003 Report Posted November 6, 2003 The Galaxy brochure (page 33) describes the Ghia as having fitted as standard 'Carpet - slip mats for front and middle rows'. Anyone know what these mats are exactly...? I'm thinking about getting the Ghia, and was going to order a set of the Ford Premium velour mats along with it (pricey but good quality), but I noticed that the brochure says the Ghia has these 'slip mats'...maybe I don't need the velour mats after all... Any information appreciated! Thanks, --Doug. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 The Ghia has fabric mats that appear to be made from the same material as the carpet. They are held in place by pushing plastic rings over pegs in the normal floor carpet. All three rows fature these mats - the front "row" has separate left and right mats.I have nevertheless invested in a set of Cannon rubber/velour mats for the front and middle rows, plus used the remains of an old set of mats for the third row and boot, also to cover up the gap in the middle row between the 2 rubber mats as the interior os soooo wide. rwtomkins Posted November 7, 2003 Report Posted November 7, 2003 i was thinking of putting my ghia's fabric mats in the washing machine. anyone ever tried this? Quote

Xenonman Posted November 8, 2003 Report Posted November 8, 2003 Oh I tried that, mats in the washing machine, they come up a treat. Just get a tea towel so you don't burn the mats & give them an iron, come up like new. Quote
