So is Castrol GTD Plus good enough for a 90hp Galaxy? It says it's a 10W40 and meets or exceeds SAE 10W40; API CF and ACEA B3...

I THINK ALL THIS ARGUMENT ABOUT OIL IS DAFT, SOME GARAGES JUST DROP CHEAP OIL IN ANYWAY, GOING AGAINST ALL SENSIBLE ENGINEERING THEORY...

I THINK THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR IS CORRECT VISCOSITY, AND DECENT QUALITY, AND MORE REGULAR CHANGES ARE NOT GOING TO DO ANY HARM. CANT SEE THAT CASTROL COULD DO ANY HARM. MECHANICS WILL ALL HAVE THERE FAVOURITE BRANDS...OF COURSE, MY MATE LIKES PLANET OILS, I DONT USE THE STUFF THOUGH...CASTROL, DUCKHAMS HAVE BEEN MAKING THE STUFF FOR YEARS...CASTROL IS GOOD ENOUGH FOR A FORMULA ONE RACING CAR, GO FOR IT !!

MAKE SURE THE VISCOSITY IS CORRECT OF COURSE !!

Any branded oil of the correct viscosity and spec is fine.

The exception is the PD diesels which have a very specific oil requirement due to the nature of the injector locations under the camshaft, and the turbo seals are a special material.
