well my clocks said its was 3-0c tonight, and i didnt get a warning.

i thought you got a warning at 4-0c or lower

but ive looked at the handbook at it says.

outside temperature.not displayed if an automatic temp control is fitted, identcal values in both memories

also says

when the outside temp is +4c or below,a ice warning sysmbol will blink in the display along with the current temp, for 10seconds.in addition a warning tone sounds

so should this do this on mine or not because i have the automatic temp control with dual aircon

advise please

IIRC it only gives the warning as it changes to 4C if the temperature is below 4C when you get in the car I don't think it gives a warning - the only time we have more than one warning is when the temperature fluctuates :(

There's a lot of good to be said for the MK1's simplicity :D 1 ice light on at 4C, 2 on at 0C.

I've never had a bong in the car ..... might get smelly water everywhere :( ;)

Yep, confirm that. You ONLY get the warning if the temperature drops below 4 degrees while you are driving.

There is the snowflake at the bottom of the red led screen when the temperature is at or below 4C, the bong happens as the temperature drops below 4C. The bong is very quiet in my car and easily missed. I seem to remember some message appearing as well, but it has been nearly a year since I last had the warning. so I may be wrong.
