Steve S. Posted November 5, 2006 Report Posted November 5, 2006 Dear Vanbursta, Thanks for the picture, just the job. I've "retrieved" the item in question about an hour ago! Pretty straight forward job..as you said, both the glove box and rad/cass/air con facia had to come out. The multi-plug wasn't loose..ah well! I've traced GBM parts in KL..seems to be a difference of opinion as to whether they've ceased trading or not..their e.bay feedback is a bit "iffish".I'll try to contact them on monday whilst keeping all the other options open. (there is a c/c module on e-bay currently..for a Range Rover,it differs by only one number but alas is completely different internally wise!) These units are made by Hella evidently so it gives me another line of research..I'll be bu.gg.red if I'm going to pay silly money for something that can't cost that much to knock together!!!! Keep up the good work, Steve S. Quote
brawlski Posted November 6, 2006 Author Report Posted November 6, 2006 Right , finally got the GAL back! the dash is in! all looks well, a few minor bits n pieces need attention the radio is an aftermarket and i had an ipod hook up which wasn't reconected etc. they said that they check the AC and it didn't need regassed! how do i check? what is a test for the CC. if i put it to the lowest setting before the "LO" shows it says 18, how cold should the air be? are there any other checks i can do (i havent got my VAG-COM cable yet) cheers for everybody help through this traumatic time!!!! mumof4 Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 tricky question here..how cold should 18 be....on LO it is cold.....next one up at 18...will be warmer!.I guess 18 will be 18! :)  Quote
NikpV Posted November 6, 2006 Report Posted November 6, 2006 ok set aircon to lo and run the aircon whilst engine is running at 1500revs for a minimum of 10 minutes, measure the outside temp B and use the graph to determine the output airtemp A Quote

Guest wolfie Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 Autodata sheet shows F6 as the fuse for CC panel blower motor! Quote

I have the dualzone climate control and it flashes for 15 seconds when i turn the ignition on. Also the auto button doesn't do anything, is this because its flashing and needs gassing??
