davey1825 Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 Hi all, I am a fledgling member, only joined a few days ago. i have a Galaxy aspen 2.0, it is here as a result of the missus wanting more space following the birth of our lastest (and Last!!) baby, even thought there are now only 4 of us she was complaining that we could not get anybody in our last car with all of us in it, which was a old rover, which give it it's due was a really good car. So we bought this which she let me spend a bit of money on it 's spec is now:- * 17 inch TSW Venoms (one with a Kerbing Chip as these are off ebay!!!) * Set of Eibach lowering springs 35 MM Drop, Now my exhaust scrapes over those small individual speed bumps no matter how slow i go, with a full car i don't even bother, i probably wouldent have gone for such a drop if i'd have known. * Limo Black, Blacked out windows * Sony Head unit (standard speakers tho, run out of cash  ) Just another thing, the drivers wiper packed up last week resulting in me having to fit a nice new linkage, while i was at it i saw that the front suspension caps were filled with water and was rust coloured has anyone else experienced this problem, i'm just worried about if i ever need to get the nut off in the middle anytime it looks pretty rusted on now  Best regards Davecar.tiff Quote

NikpV Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 (edited) welcome to the madhouse while i was at it i saw that the front suspension caps were filled with water and was rust coloured has anyone else experienced this problem, i'm just worried about if i ever need to get the nut off in the middle anytime it looks pretty rusted on now yep - its not unknown :) if its not gone too far yet - fill them up wiyh marine grease - if it has you can start drenching in plus-gas (better than wd40 as a release agent) after a couple of years of this  they will be ready to come off - maybe b*****y wimen here type too fast   Edited October 29, 2006 by NikpV Quote
