Danny Boy Posted November 2, 2003 Report Posted November 2, 2003 This morning the drivers side elec windows packed up on my Galaxy, i can still hear the motor going and an awfull lot og 'clicking' My thoughts are that the 'teath' on the runners have broken, i just need to have a look and what i need to do the problem is i'm a bit weary about takin the door trim of incase i break anything but feel i could do it my self rather than go to the lovely Ford. Any clues about where to start taking the trim of (theres no signs of any screws anywhere). I've got the problem if the elec window wiring and 'manual' side mirror controls, speakers and door handels. Any suggestions would be great. Cheers :) Quote

Dave-G Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I had this prob on my old SEAT, sounds like the cable snapped (it looks like straining wire.) I left that for main dealer Quote

Ivor_E_Tower Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 Time to try the scrapyards in person or via the internet.Hope you get a cheap fix soon.Had a similar problem on my old Rover 820; little consolation to be told that had it been 18 months newer, Rover redesigned the mechanism and the parts would have been about Quote
