Dear All,

My front drivers side corner sensor has been pushed in by something/someone and I am trying to sell my car and just need this to tidy up. I have seen on previous posts about removing the bumper so that I can push it back out. But looking in the wheel arch there appears to be a shield fixed with 4No. Star scews which looks as if it is attached to the bumper. Would I be able to remove this and get to the sensor or is the only way of geeting to this removal of the bumper? I have phoned my dealer and as it is not covered by the warranty it will probably be around

Simple. Just remove the black plastic strip from the bumper, this levers out from the end.

Then have a good look inside the bumper (a torch may be handy) then fish the sensor out with a bit of wire and pop it back into the holder on the inside of the black plastic strip.

If the holder has come unstuck also like mine did then a good dollop of a good strong glue will fix it.

Ditto........

Plus if it's anything like the back one's, just get an offcut of carpet(?) lay it on the ground..... then get down on your back with torch in hand, shine it up and you should see the offendeing artical dangling free. Then just pop it back in it's hole..... ta dahhhhhh,

Thanks for the quick responses.

Stupid question warning!!

what is the best thing to lever of the plastic strip. Also referring back to my original question can i get to the sensor via the wheel arch by taking off the sheild?

sorry for appearing really thick but I'm just dont want to ruin the car by getting a screwdriver to leverl the plastic and then getting a large scratch on my front bumper.

Regards

Dont touch the sheild, too dirty and no need.

I used a flat blade screw driver and a bit of care and out she popped. Its only held in by small plastic clips on the back. Youll have the job done in 10 mins
