BigJock Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Hi folks, new user, 1st post looking for the help you seem happy to give a distressed bloke in need. Got me a shiny 130 Tdi ghia (2004) but climate control is driving me nuts. After 30000 (major) service started gettings drips on to passenger front footwell during heavy rain/driving only. Was advised by mate may be suspect pollen filter. 2 visits to diffrent fordy dealers came back same - blocked air con pipe now fixed, which of course was rubbish, cos it leaked again within days each time. Now it has started dripping in the dry (air con off and on) and I suspect I hear gassy/leaky squeal from under dash/engine compartment. It's booked in again but I am not confident they will have the will to cure rather than excuse the issue. Any advice?? (1st year of a 2 year Ford Direct warranty) Jock Quote
brawlski Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 i had the wet passanger footwell problem as well! 3 month old the car was.the dealer fixed it by extending the A/C drain pipe, basically the pipe sticks out into the engine bay in front of the passanger side. the original pipe was cut too short and the drain was running back along the outside of the pipe into the car and collecting on the footwell carpet. good luck. Quote

Guest HairyPlateEater Posted October 24, 2006 Report Posted October 24, 2006 Might also be heater matrix pipework that has/is in the process of working loose. Welcome to the site and the joys of Galaxy ownership! :D Quote
BigJock Posted November 2, 2006 Author Report Posted November 2, 2006 Well Folks seems like they fixed it. With your advice, mmm They report the pipe from the heater to the outflow at the bulk head was leaking at a joint and this has now been repaired. I can confirm no drips so far. many thanks again Jock  Quote
