strouf Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Hi all, there's my new thread about my problems with the fischer price radio.. Do you have any idea why my ice 6000rds is tuning to a different than the chosen freq. for a second or two, and then back to normal? I listen to music, then two seconds of news, then back to music. Is it supposed to be better than this (car is new)or I'm just the lucky one? Quote

Is it supposed to be better than this (car is new)or I'm just the lucky one? have you got the TA switched on? it could be that it keeps switching to other channels to pick up the traffic/news?either that or the EON settings are kicking in? and are a bit to sensitive! or the fact that your are in Greece/Europe and possibly some of the radio stations are regional? so the unit would swap around stations to keep in sync with the local stations? if this is the case I'm not sure if you can switch off this feature? strouf Posted October 22, 2006 Author Report Posted October 22, 2006 Hi Vr6, thanks for your answer...TA is off, and the whole interference thing will only last for a second. It's not always news or music, just another random station! Will check the rds settings again and turn everything off. The system does not really work in Greece, anyway! What about the window antenna? Is this any good? Quote

Sounds like a bit of co-channel interference Strouf. You might find that the FM regulation in Greece is not policed like it is in the UK and what you are picking up is random FM taxi broadcasts that just happen to be within the range of your receiver. Window antennas are ok but obviously not as good as a good as a single dipole. Quote
