Hi all - well i have just bought a second hand Galaxy Mk2 Ghia 51 (2002) - the children carrier!!

Have a bit of a problem which I would be grateful if one of you could help with here goes...

Car drives lovely (amazingly) apart from when setting off - going up hill in first gear -'spose something to do with excessive strain on engine? Its then when it all get very noisey - a loud rumbling/knocking noise from engine compartment. At no other time do you here this, or any other noise!

Is it transmission? CV joint? or is it just normal for the Galaxy to make excessive noise when pulling-off up hill in 1st gear?

Please help - as I need this sorting so that the car is safe for my wife and 3 kids.

Thank vmuch....
