jwilliams Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 I need two of the connectors which go into the boot lights and a glove box light connector. are these available as spares or is it part of the loom? is the loom slpit into sections if so which one will i need? Quote
Vanbursta Posted October 20, 2006 Report Posted October 20, 2006 You can buy the connectors seperately, BUT you need to cut off the old one, crimp the new one on and then insert the connector into the connector block. Most competent auto electicians can supply them. It is far easier and much quicker to take them out of a scrap car, cut the loom about 5 inches away from the connector and splice them into the existing loom. Quote
jwilliams Posted October 21, 2006 Author Report Posted October 21, 2006 I have tried to source them from scrap dealers but with not luck so far. Quote

I take it your asking for the connectors? most breakers are not happy to let you have just the plugs off a loom as it makes the loom unsellable! cant you just make up the plugs for the lights? IIRC you only need a couple of push on spade crimps and your sorted :D Quote
Guest VR6! Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Or just go for the cheap option! Quote
jwilliams Posted October 27, 2006 Author Report Posted October 27, 2006 I think I will go with that option, what size spade connecors did you use? ones for glove box light are very small thsoe look bigger. Quote
