Guest sarah Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 :blink: hi can anyone help im new to the forum iv got a ford galaxy v6 24vavle the problem i have got is it misfires around 1200 rpm to 14oorpm but then clears away ive changed the coil packs still no good iv had the air mass checked that fine changed the plugs no change there please can any one help . Its almost like a judder in the car at that rpm :lol: :lol: Quote

Sharanfx Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 Ok missed that it was a 24V. If these engines have a misfire they will record a fault in the ECU. Have you had it scaned with a VAG com or similar device to see if there are any fault codes recorded. Other possible causes could be coolant temp sensor or engine speed sensor giving a false reading. sepulchrave Posted October 17, 2006 Report Posted October 17, 2006 This problem can be caused by a weak battery, are you confident that yours is fully charged (lots of stop/start short journeys drain the battery)? Quote
