Guest T120 Posted October 28, 2003 Report Posted October 28, 2003 Can any one please help me with these problems. I have a 1.9 Tdi and would ike to know. Under what conditions does the additional heater come on.I read somewhere that the water temp; has to be less than 74 deg C or air temp less than 4 deg C is this correct. How does it work? How can you check if its working? My snow flakes test when turned on but they have not stayed on even when the out side temp was +2 deg C. I have checked the sensor which tallys up with my workshop manual as being a switch, which was checked out by putting in the freezer and allowing to warm up and it operated, but according to Ford Tech sheets its a resister, which one is correct and could these two problems be related. yours shivering :( Quote

william Posted November 11, 2003 Report Posted November 11, 2003 There will be a tolerance on the temperature, I find that my heater will not come on until it is below 4 deg C. Quote
Guest T120 Posted November 12, 2003 Report Posted November 12, 2003 What checks can be carried out on the heater etc to find out where the problem lies or is it one of these "local dealer jobs" Quote
