AndeeeH Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Interesting the different views, I think the new dash is awful yet others like it, great that we have choice. The new Gal outside I could live with, the roof on the inside is different and interesting but the dash euk. So with the above in mind and the fact there's no spare that all adds up to no more Gals for me. Regards- J Well I DID pay Quote
tim-spam Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 Yes, but, as has been pointed out before, the real replacement for the current car is not due out until next year....... Quote

Guest adrimo Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 roof bars are ok but i prefer the ones on the espace as they slide and you dont have to buy theextra croos bars to put a box on. Quote
Ivor_E_Tower Posted November 11, 2006 Report Posted November 11, 2006 No roof bars? Then you have nothing to hold onto when you stand on the rear tyres to clean the roof..... Quote

Guest larryo Posted November 12, 2006 Report Posted November 12, 2006 hows the new gal going larry any new points, good or bad  Hi Gooner, well almost 4,500 kilometres up on it now and all is well. Am keeping an eye on the oil level.....I was told all new engines use some oil till they settle down. Am averaging 48 mpg at the moment which is pleasing. I am well pleased so far especially the driving position and the gearbox...........very slick. A couple of minor gripes are that bloody safety belt chime.....which i disabled , and also when you turn on your heater the a/c comes on automatically. Apart from that I am a happy camper! :10: Oh and the spare wheel hassle is a bit of a pain in the a***. Quote

Hi Larry, try turning the directional control for the heater away from the windscreen only setting and see if that stops the AC coming on automatically. Andy. Quote

Air con draws moisture out of the air making it perfect for clearing steamed/misted up windscreens. From Mk1 onwards, if the Windscreen button is pressed on the CC panel, the air con automatically kicks in to aid the demisting function. On the MK2, pushing the windscreen button also turned the heated windscreen on automatically to aid the process further. Quote
