Guest larryo Posted October 18, 2006 Report Posted October 18, 2006 [. Not so sure the tyres are 'run flat' though (unless you ordered them as an option?) mine has got normal tyres & you get a Michelen tyre repair kit instead of the spare. Not sure what the sales man was talkin bout "run flat tyres" as I have the same set up as you Jeff, the little compressor and bottle of sealant under the drivers seat. Not sure how difficult its gonna be doin that on a wet november night!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote

Guest larryo Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Well have the galaxy a week tomorrow and have covered 1200 km so far. Consumption is working out at 48-50 mpg, i suspect that will improve as the engine loosens up. One minor hiccup, radio/cd player is gone on the blink! Checked fuse and thats as far as im going, will call garage tomm( am i missing something obvious). Am really happy with performance so far........very peppy for overtaking in fourth, and purrs along nicely at 2,000 rpm. On a final note, almost every punter asks about the handbrake.........."whats that"....I tell them its the ejector seat for obnoxious people :) Cheers for now! <_< Quote
Sharanfx Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Dont forget the new Sharan will be out next Year. Its also a totally different design to the current Mk2s and the new Galaxy. Also uses the new range of VW engines 2.0 TDIs 140 and 170PS and a new 2.0 Turbo as in the GTI and 3.2 FSI version Quote
NikpV Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 was somewhat surprised to find that parking assist, alarm, cruise control appear to be options on the ghia :angry2: Quote
AndeeeH Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 was somewhat surprised to find that parking assist, alarm, cruise control appear to be options on the ghia  According to the 'New Galaxy' Brochure of 2006.5 all the above are standard on the Ghia but options on the LX. Zetec gets the alarm and parking assist and cruise as an option. Its the 'Adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation by braking, audio and visual forward collision warning system, ESP, EBA and hill launch assist' that is an option on the Ghia as the 'Active Driver Assistance Pack'...........whatever all that means???  Andy. NikpV Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 was trying to configure a ghia on the ford website so maybe its been coded wrong since it let me add them to the ghia   'Active Driver Assistance Pack' is this the electroshock therapy administered when it detects you dozing off    Quote
