Guest mark99 Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Hi I have a 1993 Mondeo 2.0 GLX Automatic. A couple of days ago the forward gears i.e D, 1 & 2 would not engage unless the accelerator was practically floored at which point the car creeps forward at around 10mph.Strangley the reverse gear works fine. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to the cause of the problem? Help would be appreciated Quote
Guest lucky Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 I don't know if this helps, but you are not alone - my 1994 LX seems to have a similar problem just now. When I kick down, expecting a surge of speed, the car gets slower. If I keep my foot on the gas, it gets even worse. When I ease up, it changes back up. So hills are a bit of problem. I'll let you know what the answer is as soon as I have it! Quote
